Elton John to perform at the Royal Wedding - Video

Elton John, Prince Harry and Meghan

Elton John will perform at the royal wedding, reflecting the deep history with Prince Harry, Princess Diana and the Royal Family. Elton John had previously opened up about how happy Prince Harry has been with Markle. "I could tell that he was totally in love," John said about when he saw Harry in Sicily. "He didn't really discuss much personally but he said 'I'm in love' and I thought 'good for you.' Both of those boys seem to be ecstatically happy and that's all you want people to be."
However it has not been revealed whether he'll get behind his piano at the church ceremony or at the reception later in the night.
Elton was an extremely close friend of Princess Diana and the two worked together to raise money for AIDS research and awareness of the disease.

The singer was also a tremendous source of support for Prince Harry and Prince William when Diana died in 1997. Elton famously performed "Candle in the Wind" as a tribute for Diana at her funeral.
Elton had originally booked shows in Vegas for this weekend, but they were rescheduled months ago due to a "scheduling conflict" for his May 18 and 19 shows, and the concerts will be rescheduled for Sunday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 16. All the ticket orders for May 18 and 19 will be refunded, and ticketholders will get an advance presale to buy tickets for the rescheduled shows. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in England on May 19.
