Rihanna to Donald Trump: Please don't use my music!

Rihanna
Rihanna doesn't approve of Donald Trump playing her songs at his rallies. When the pop star learned that her 2007 hit, "Don't Stop the Music," played ahead of his appearance at the University of Tennessee, she spoke out on Twitter.
Political analyst Philip Rucker, who was covering the rally, tweeted, "Currently, Rihanna’s 'Don’t Stop the Music' is blaring in Chattanooga as aides toss free Trump T-shirts into the crowd, like a ball game. Everyone’s loving it."
But RiRi responded, "Not for much longer...me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up philip!"

Trump in Ohio

Rihanna is the latest artist to disapprove of Trump playing their music at political events. Last week Pharrell's lawyer sent the president a cease and decease letter after Trump played his song "Happy" at a rally hours after the mass shooting at a Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
"There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose," the letter read.

The same day that Rihanna spoke out against Trump using her music, Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose did the same. "Just so ya know... GNR like a lot of artists opposed to the unauthorized use of their music at political events has formally requested r music not b used at Trump rallies or Trump associated events," Rose tweeted.
